Nara

  1. Todai-ji Temple: Started our day by visiting Todai-ji, which is one of Japan's most famous and historically significant temples. The temple is home to the world's largest bronze statue of Buddha, known as the Daibutsu, which is a must-see attraction.

  2. Nara Park: After visiting Todai-ji, take a stroll through Nara Park, a large park where over 1,200 deer roam freely. You can feed the deer with deer crackers which can be bought from vendors around the park.

  3. Kasuga-taisha Shrine: Next, head to Kasuga-taisha Shrine, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Shinto shrine famous for its many lanterns that are lit twice a year during festivals. The shrine is located in a forested area, so you can also enjoy a peaceful walk in the greenery.

  4. Kofuku-ji Temple: Kofuku-ji is another important temple in Nara, with a history that dates back over 1,300 years. The temple complex consists of several buildings and pagodas, and it is a great place to learn about the rich history and culture of Nara.
