Muslims in Japan

Muslims In Japan

(My Photo-album )

Misinformation and fake news spread to fuel hate and fear against any group, including Muslims, can have serious and harmful consequences. It can contribute to the stigmatization, discrimination, and marginalization of individuals and communities. I got this forward from the right-wing media on Whatsapp.

It claims "Japan is the only nation that does not give citizenship to Muslims", Japan does not allow Muslims to rent..

When I provided a simple  Google link of  the results of the search "Tokyo + Mosque' and "Osaka + mosque" it showed the mosques.  I was sacked out of the two groups, one was my school group and the other was a Facebook group more active about the US election. Both Groups got plagued with right-wing Supporters of MAGA(in USA) or Hindutva in India.  Providing the fact-check references did not help. ( They call Secular-minded individuals as Sicklular-minded)

However, when I was preparing for the trip to Nikko, Japan, I was surprised to see the welcome message to Muslims, informing Muslims about the restaurants serving Halal meat, etc.

Tokyo and Osaka  internationals airports has Muslim friendly prayer room  Here are  few pictures   that I took validating that Japan is not discriminating against Muslims as claimed. The  Last picture at Susshi0Halala restaurant as Asakusa is of the family who migrated from Kashmir to the UK!  Travel teaches us: To appreciate cultures and their differences. This was a small but another valuable lesson.
